Enjoy Highball Samples, Plus Mini Okonomiyaki and Kakigori!

The Tokyo Olympics kick off this coming weekend, and we're traveling to Japan in spirit with a little celebration here at Gaijin on Saturday, July 24.

Stop by our patio to enjoy refreshing highball samples kindly provided by our gold medal-worthy friends at Suntory. Also on the roster: some delicious mini okonomiyaki and mini "on-the-go" kakigori (Japanese shaved ice, your choice of syrup and a snowcap of sweetened condensed milk), on the house, for the win. Everyone qualifies!

If you haven't had the chance to visit us at Gaijin, this is the time to taste some of our signature menu items. And if you're already a fan, don't sleep on those free samples ...

So dash over to 950 W Lake starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 24—we look forward to seeing you. The evening should be a perfect 10.

Must be 21 or older for highball samples. Beverages and food available while they last.

KAKIGORI DAY IS
JULY 25

Keep Cool and Try Our On-the-Go Shaved Ice Treats … on the House!

It's a big weekend for samples! July 25 is Kakigori Day in Japan—the date's pronunciation sounds similar to "summer ice" in Japanese.

To mark the occasion, on Sunday, July 25, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., we'll be giving out free kakigori samples. These will be small sizes of our "on-the-go" variety: Japanese shaved ice, your choice of syrup and a snowcap of sweetened condensed milk. We invite you to stop by and try this unique offering.

And check out our full line-up of kakigori creations available on the dine-in menu, which come complete with house-made ice cream, special toppings and more: gaijinchicago.com/menu
